CNESST et SAAQ
The Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (better known as the CNESST) is an agency established by the government of Québec in order to enforce the rights and obligations conferred upon every citizen who joins the labour market. In such a context, the CNESST makes sure that all working environments take the health and safety of workers into consideration, and that employees who suffer from work-related injuries are provided fair compensation and rehabilitation options. For its part, the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (or SAAQ) is in charge of compensating the citizens of Québec who are involved in a road traffic accident.
IVAC
The Direction de l’indemnisation des victimes d’actes criminels (or IVAC) has been given the task of compensating victims of criminal acts as well as the individuals who help them recover from the experience. If you were impacted by a criminal offence or are taking care of a person who was, our team can help you navigate the administrative process leading to a fair and appropriate compensation.
The compensation plan managed by IVAC provides financial support to individuals who, on account of a criminal act or the fact that they acted as a « good citizen », can no longer work, go to school, or carry out most of their daily domestic activities.
